The two gymnasts are the best there are. They have never faulted. There is no net. They are confident in what they do and do not see any reason to be protective now. They perform without a net, without chalked hands, and on cold, slippery bars. Their hands are slippery from sweat and the ropes are worn. As she jumps and grabs his hands, she slips, but he hold tight to the other hand. The crowd stands and a sound of fear goes through the stage. The sudden jerk of the jump snaps one of the ropes. The mans leg is caught in the rope and is dislocated, but he saves the girl from certain death. It is a miracle. The end was so close.
